The Town of Damariscotta will hold a Public Hearing on February 18, at 5:00 p.m., at the Town Office to discuss an application being submitted to the State of Maine CDBG program for a Public Infrastructure grant. The purpose of the grant application is to improve storm drainage, water quality, and sidewalks on and adjacent to Elm Street from Lewis Point and west to Main Street and in Theater Street. Public comments will be solicited at this Hearing and will be submitted as part of the application. All persons wishing to make comments or ask questions about the grant application are invited to attend this Public Hearing. Comments may be submitted in writing to: Matt Lutkus, Town Manager, 21 School Street, Damariscotta, ME 04543 at any time prior to the Public Hearing. TDD/TTY users may call 711. NOTICE OF PETITION FOR A CHANGE IN DISTRICT BOUNDARIES BY THE MAINE LAND USE PLANNING COMMISSION
This is to notify you that the Land Use Planning Commission, 106 Hogan
Road, Suite 8, Bangor, ME 04401 has initiated a petition for a change
in land use district boundaries, pursuant to the provisions of 12 M.R.S.A.
Section 685-A(7-A) and Section 4.05 of the Commission’s Rules of Practice,
for: its adoption by reference of certain Federal Emergency Management
Agency (FEMA) Flood Insurance Rate Maps for Lincoln, Sagadahoc,
and Waldo counties as listed in the proposed draft of Appendix E of the
Commission’s Chapter 10 Land Use Districts and Standards and its adoption
of a related revision of the Land Use Guidance Maps for affected minor
civil divisions in those counties. This action is required by FEMA so that the
communities served by the Commission may participate in the federal flood
insurance program.

The Commission prefers that requests for a public hearing be submitted by the end of the public comment period. Requests for a public hearing must clearly state the reasons for why a public hearing is warranted on this petition.
