NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
Please take notice that Cuckolds Fog Signal and Light Station Council, PO Box 150, Southport, Maine 04576, Phone 207-633-6563 (Agent Danielle Betts, Knickerbocker Group) will be holding a public meeting to review the Cuckolds Island Proposed Work Plan, in accordance with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act, as amended.
The public hearing will take place on January 14, 2014 at 5 pm at the Southport Town Hall in Southport, Maine.
The Proposed Work Plan includes improvements to the buildings, site and associated access and utility infrastructure at the following location: on the eastern island of The Cuckolds, located off Cape Newagen at the southern tip of Southport Island, Maine.
The Proposed Work Plan will be filed at the town offices of the Town of Boothbay, Town of Boothbay Harbor and the Town of Southport, Maine, for public inspection during normal working hours. A copy of the Proposed Work Plan may also be seen at the Boothbay Region Memorial Library and the Boothbay Historical Society in Boothbay Harbor and the Southport Memorial Library in Southport, Maine.
Written public comments may be sent to the applicant’s agent at the following address: Danielle Betts, Knickerbocker Group, P.O. Box 142, Boothbay, ME 04537. All public comments related to the Proposed Work Plan obtained by mail or at the public hearing on or before January 14, 2014 will be transmitted to the National Park Service and the Maine Historic Preservation Commission in support of their review under Section 106.
