Pursuant 29MRSA Sec. 2395 and provisions of the MDOT Rules & Regulations Restricting heavy loads on closed ways, unless solidly frozen, to all vehicles except vehicles with a gross weight of 23,000 lbs. or under. The highway is considered “solidly frozen” when the air temperature is 32oF or below and NO water is showing in the cracks of the road. BOTH conditions must be met.

The Town of Dresden, Maine will receive sealed Proposals for Snow Plowing & Ice Control Services 2015 – 2018 until 5:00 p.m. on April 6, 2015 at the Dresden Town Office, 534 Gardiner Road, Dresden, Maine. Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud at the regularly scheduled Selectmen’s Meeting at Pownalborough Hall starting at 6:00 p.m.

TOWN OF EDGECOMB
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Edgecomb Planning Board will hold a public hearing at Town Hall on April 2, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. on the changes to the Floodplain Management Ordinance and corresponding changes to the Edgecomb Land Use Ordinance and the Edgecomb Board of Appeals Ordinance.
FEMA has advised the town that new flood insurance Rate Maps will be effective on July 16, 2015. The Town of Edgecomb must adopt an updated Floodplain Management Ordinance which references the new maps on or before July 16, 2015 to avoid being suspended from the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Participation in the NFIP provides protection to members of the Edgecomb community who may be affected by flooding, and federal flood insurance will be available to those who have federally backed mortgages in the floodplain. In addition, the town will be eligible for disaster funding and low interest loans when Lincoln County is declared a disaster area.
A copy of the Floodplain Management Ordinance and changes to the Edgecomb Land Use Ordinance and Edgecomb Board of Appeals Ordinance are available at the Town Office.
