NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Edgecomb Planning Board will hold a public hearing at Town Hall on April 2, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. on the changes to the Floodplain Management Ordinance and corresponding changes to the Edgecomb Land Use Ordinance and the Edgecomb Board of Appeals Ordinance.
FEMA has advised the town that new flood insurance Rate Maps will be effective on July 16, 2015. The Town of Edgecomb must adopt an updated Floodplain Management Ordinance which references the new maps on or before July 16, 2015 to avoid being suspended from the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). In addition, the town will be eligible for disaster funding and low interest loans when Lincoln County is declared a disaster area.
