The Dept. of Marine Resources has granted Shellfish Licenses for 2015 to the Towns of Damariscotta and Newcastle as follows:

There is no conservation required to obtain a 2015 Commercial license. Grandfathered licenses will be available May 29 and June 1 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Any applicant who purchased a 2014 Commercial shellfish license in Damariscotta or Newcastle prior to 9/1/14 is grandfathered for 2015. If eligible applicants present at 10 a.m. on June 2 outnumber the number of licenses available, a lottery will be held immediately.
