GSBSD will be flushing hydrants in the towns of Damariscotta and Newcastle during the next four weeks. Customers may experience a temporary discoloration of water and low pressure. Flushing the water is a vital part of our maintenance program. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. If discoloration persists, please contact the office at 563-3010, Mon.-Fri., 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
-AQUACULTURELEASE RENEWAL
The Commissioner is considering an application to renew for ten years to December 27, 2024 a 2 – acre lease DAM HI,located south of Hog Island, Damariscotta River, Damariscotta, held by Dodge Cove Marine Farm, LLC for the purposes of cultivating American/eastern oysters, European oysters, surf/hen clams, and bay scallops using suspended culture techniques.
The lessee would be bound by the terms and conditions of the existing lease. A public hearing is not required unless requested by five (5)or more interested persons. Written comments or requests for a hearing, including a statement of the reasons for the request, must be submitted on or before December 1, 2014 to the address below.
