Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
Dec. 6, Alexandria Orff, 19, of Warren was issued a summons for operating after suspension, in Wiscasset, by Det. Sgt. Kenneth Hatch.
Dec. 6, a 17 year old juvenile from South Bristol was issued a summons for possession of alcohol by a minor, in Wiscasset, by Det. Sgt. Kenneth Hatch.
Dec. 5, Thomas A. Dimauro, 52, of Boothbay was arrested on a warrant out of New York state for a charge of Burglary, on Farnham Point Rd., Boothbay, by Deputy Brian Collamore.
Dec. 6, Kevin Decker, 22, of Edgecomb was arrested for operating under the influence on Bath Rd., Wiscasset, by Deputy Henry Grenier.
On Dec. 3, an accident occurred on Bristol Rd. in Bristol involving Michael Cushing, 29, of Bristol and Leo Corson, 75, of Bristol. Mr. Cushing had stopped in the roadway and was in the process of backing into a driveway. Corson was traveling north and was unable to avoid the Cushing vehicle, striking it in the rear bumper. Cushing’s 1994 Int’l Harvester / Navistar truck sustained no damage and Corson’s 2005 Buick van sustained an estimated $12,000 in damage. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 4, an accident occurred on Rt. 1 in Newcastle involving Timothy Garrity, 54, of Tierre Verde, Fla. and Marie Clark, 83, of Damariscotta. Garrity was traveling south, hauling an unsecured load of scrap metal when part of the load ejected from the truck, striking the Clark vehicle. Clark’s 1994 Ford sustained an estimated $1800 in damage. Deputy Peter Kenyon was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 6, an accident occurred on Blinn Hill Rd. in Dresden involving Kiara Lewis, 16, of Dresden. Lewis was traveling westbound and due to driver inexperience and unsafe speed for the sharp corner, she lost control of her vehicle, went off the roadway and struck a tree. Lewis’ 1999 Pontiac sustained an estimated $800 in damage. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 6, an accident occurred on Gardiner Rd. in Jefferson involving Virginia Wright, 77, of Whitefield. Wright was traveling westbound when a deer entered the roadway from the south and was struck. Wright’s 2000 Pontiac sustained an estimated $1500 in damage. Deputy Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 7, an accident occurred on Blinn Hill Rd. in Dresden involving Anthony S. Lewis, 22, of Hallowell. Lewis was traveling west and due to unsafe speed, he lost control, slid into a CMP support pole sideways, which then caused him to roll over. The vehicle then came to rest upside down on its roof. Lewis’ 2001 Oldsmobile sustained an estimated $3000 in damage. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 7, an accident occurred on Sheepscot Rd. in Alna involving Jacklyn D. Reed, 51, of Wiscasset. Reed was traveling south and due to icy road conditions and unsafe speed, she lost control and went off the roadway. As a result, her vehicle struck some trees and came to rest on its roof. Reed’s 1998 Chevrolet utility vehicle sustained an estimated $7000 in damage. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
