Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On Nov. 1, Deputy Mark Bridgham took a report of criminal mischief and theft in the Bremen area. The complainant stated that someone damaged and moved a gas tank at the Muscongus Community Center. The cost of the tank is around $150 dollars and the liquid propane is valued at $350 dollars. The monetary damage to the pipes and the reset of the tank is to be determined. Further investigation if leads develop.
On Nov. 1, Reserve Deputy Scott Mercier took a report of criminal mischief in the Boothbay area. The complainant stated that sometime between 4 p.m., on Oct. 31 and 3:30 p.m., on Nov. 1, someone damaged a wooden Muirgen Association sign. The sign will have to be replaced and the replacement value is approximately $1000 dollars. Further investigation will follow if leads develop.
On Nov. 2, Sgt. Jason Nein responded to a report of criminal mischief in the Boothbay area. The complainant stated that sometime between the evening of Oct. 31 and the morning of Nov. 2, someone damaged her large metal mailbox. The value of the mailbox is approximately $100 dollars. Further investigation will follow if leads develop.

Oct. 20, Jeremy Ketcham, 19, of South Bristol, imprudent speed, Academy Hill Rd., Newcastle, Dep. Mark Bridgham.
Oct. 20, Kristen Holmes-Yattaw, 37, of Thomaston, operator failing to use a safety belt, Main St., Newcastle, Sgt. Jason Nein.
Oct. 24, Roger Perry, 37, of Bath, failure to display an inspection sticker, Rt. 1, Edgecomb, Det. Robert McFetridge.
Oct. 29, James Rife, 24, of Washington, speeding, 62 mph in a posted 45 mph speed zone, Rt. 32, Bremen, Dep. Brian Collamore.
On Oct. 29, an accident occurred on Rt. 1 in Wiscasset involving Steven E. Clifford, 45, of Edgecomb and Charles W. Berry, 67, of Hingham, Mass. Clifford was traveling southbound, crossing the Davey Bridge. Berry was traveling northbound, crossing the Davey Bridge, when he fell asleep, due to fatigue and hit Clifford’s vehicle and then hit the concrete portion of the bridge.
Clifford’s 1998 GMC pickup truck sustained an estimated $450 in damage and Berry’s Toyota pickup truck sustained an estimated $800 in damage. Major Ken Mason was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 2, an accident occurred on Rt. 1 in Newcastle involving Crystal M. Harrington, 23, of Woolwich. Harrington was traveling northbound when a deer entered the travel lane from a field area and was struck. Harrington’s 1996 Subaru station wagon sustained an estimated $3500 in damage. Sgt. Daniel Sceviour was the investigating officer.
