Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:

Arrests and summonsesFeb. 11, Sgt. Jason Nein issued a summons on Alexa M. Oliver, 20, of Damariscotta, for criminal speeding – 81 mph, in a posted 50 mph speed zone, on Wiscasset Rd., Boothbay.

Feb. 13, Dep. Kevin Dennison issued a summons to a 16-year-old male juvenile from Damariscotta for possession of marijuana, on Bristol Rd., Damariscotta.

Feb. 13, Dep. Kevin Dennison arrested Jeremy T. Ketcham, 19, of South Bristol, for violating condition of release, possession of marijuana, sale and use of drug paraphernalia and for an active warrant for a Fugitive from Justice charge, on Rt. 129 in South Bristol.

Feb. 13, Dep. Chad Gilbert arrested Bruce Tillson, 32, of Richmond, for burglary, on Front St., Richmond.

Feb. 15, Dep. Todd Chilton arrested Felicia Giles, 29, of Boothbay on a warrant for Failure to Appear in Court, on Boothbay Rd. in Edgecomb.

Traffic citationsFeb. 9, Sgt. Jason Nein issued a citation to William Burnham, 31, of West Boothbay Harbor for failure to display an inspection sticker on Rt. 96 (construction zone), in East Boothbay.

Feb. 10, Dep. Mark Bridgham issued a citation to Michael Jasud, 54, of Rumford, for speeding, 66 mph, in a posted 55 mph speed zone on Rt. 17, in Somerville.

Feb. 10, Deputy Mark Bridgham issued a citation to James Amaral, 52, of Alna for displaying an expired inspection sticker, on West Alna Rd. in Wiscasset.

Feb. 10, Deputy Mark Bridgham issued a citation to Scott Emerson, 34, of Waldoboro for speeding, 65 mph in a posted 55 mph speed zone on Rt. 1, Newcastle.

Feb. 10, Deputy Mark Bridgham issued a citation to Harlan Swegart, 21, of Portland for speeding, 43 mph in a posted 25 mph speed zone on Academy Hill Rd. in Newcastle.

Feb. 11, Maj. Ken Mason issued a citation to Samantha McGow, 35, of Edgecomb for speeding, 70 mph in a posted 55 mph speed zone, Rt. 1 in Nobleboro.

Feb. 11, Deputy Todd Chilton issued a citation to Torrance Fox, 38, of Clinton, for speeding, 59 mph in a posted 35 mph speed zone on Rt. 27, in Dresden.

AccidentsOn Feb. 9, Sgt. Jason Nein investigated an accident on Eddy Rd. in Edgecomb involving Gail L. Swanton, 64, of Westport. Swanton was traveling northbound when she fell asleep and crossed the southbound travel lane. Her vehicle then struck a guardrail and crossed back into the northbound lane before coming to rest on the northbound shoulder/snow bank. Swanton’s 2005 Toyota sustained an estimated $2500 in damage.

On Feb. 12, Sgt. Alan Shea investigated an accident on Head Tide Road in Whitefield involving Margaret Lawton, 57, of Whitefield. Lawton was traveling northbound when she swerved to miss turkeys in the roadway. As a result, her vehicle left the roadway and struck a CMP pole and rock wall. Lawton’s 2002 Dodge van sustained an estimated $3000 in damage.
