Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On Feb. 24, Rochelle M. Gagnon, 22, of Boothbay was arrested on two outstanding warrants from Sagadahoc County and for Unlawful Possession of Scheduled Drugs and Illegal Possession of Hypodermic Apparatuses, on Townsend Avenue, Boothbay Harbor, by Det. Sgt. Kenneth Hatch.
On Feb. 24, James R. Wilkinson Jr., 19, of Jefferson was arrested for Harassment by Telephone and Harassment, on Main Street, Damariscotta, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
On Feb. 23, an accident occurred at the US Post Office parking lot in Boothbay involving Audrey M. Anderson, 87, of Boothbay. Anderson was entering the parking lot and was attempting to park. As she was parking, her foot slid off the brake and onto the gas pedal. As a result, her vehicle jumped a parking barrier and struck the side of the building before coming to rest. Anderson’s 2004 Ford pickup truck sustained an estimated $2500 in damage. Sgt. Daniel Sceviour was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 23, an accident occurred on Turner Rd. in Bremen involving Andrea Holt, 61, of Bremen. Holt was traveling east when she lost her right rear shock and as a result, lost control of her vehicle, running off the road and striking several trees. Holt’s 1997 Dodge sustained an estimated $5000 in damage. Deputy Todd Chilton was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 24, an accident occurred on Main St. in Newcastle involving Briean L. Kennington, 21, of Nobleboro and Tina M. Churchill, 38, of Somerville. Kennington was making a left turn onto Mills Road and failed to yield to Churchill’s vehicle. As a result, Kennington struck Churchill’s vehicle. Kennington’s 1997 Dodge sustained an estimated $2200 in damage and Churchill’s 2010 Ford sustained an estimated $4800 in damage. Deputy Peter Kenyon was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 25, an accident occurred on Bristol Rd. in Bristol involving Sally A. Reilly, 56, of Pemaquid and Casey Chadwick, 30, of Bristol. Reilly was backing up and Chadwick was pulling into a parking spot. Due to the heavy rain and poor visibility, Reilly did not see Chadwick’s vehicle and as a result, backed into it. Reilly’s 2008 Chevrolet sustained an estimated $800 in damage and Chadwick’s 2008 Toyota sustained an estimated $1500 in damage. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Feb. 26, an accident occurred on Jefferson Rd. in Whitefield involving Megan E. Woodbury, 18, of Bristol. Woodbury was traveling south when she lost control of her vehicle due to the road conditions and ran off the road, striking a small tree. Woodbury’s 2000 Pontiac sustained an estimated $1000 in damage. Deputy Todd Chilton was the investigating officer.
On March 1, an accident occurred on Middle Rd. in Dresden involving Erin E. Birmingham, 24, of Windsor. Birmingham was traveling too fast for the road conditions and lost control of her vehicle on the slush/snow-covered roadway. As a result, she traveled off the roadway and struck a CMP pole. Birmingham’s 1997 GMC utility vehicle sustained an estimated $5600 in damage. Deputy Peter Kenyon was the investigating officer.
On March 1, an accident occurred on West Alna Rd. in Alna involving Jesse D. Hinman, 17, of Alna. Hinman was traveling south when he lost control of his vehicle, slid off the roadway and struck a utility pole. Hinman’s 1993 Mitsubishi sustained an estimated $5000 in damage. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On March 1, an accident occurred on Middle Rd. in Dresden involving Marc-Anthony P. Hagerty, 20, of Woolwich. Hagerty was traveling west when he swerved to the right to avoid a vehicle, which continued on. As a result, he drove off the road and struck a large rock. Hagerty’s 1997 Mercury station wagon sustained an estimated $5000 in damage. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
