Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
May 26, Anne W. Simpson, 36, of Trevett was issued a summons for speeding, 10-14 mph over the Speed Limit, on Rt. 1, Newcastle, by Deputy Brian Collamore.
May 29, Jennifer M. Libby, 32, of Bristol was issued a summons for operating after suspension, on Rt. 130, Bristol, by Deputy Brian Collamore.
May 26, Todd E. Lunt, 33, of Whitefield was arrested for operating after habitual offender revocation – prior, on Vigue Road, Whitefield, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
May 28, Appolonia D. Michaud, 24, of Bristol was arrested for disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of scheduled drug, on Coveside Road, South Bristol, by Deputy Matthew Day.
May 31, Lawrence G. Bailey, 30, of Bowdoinham was arrested for operating under the influence, on Middle Road, Dresden, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
On May 26, an accident occurred on Rt. 27 in Edgecomb involving Michael B. Giroux, 20, of Phippsburg and Jayne E. Stockford, 55, of Alna. Stockford was stopped for a stop sign at Rt. 27 and Rt. 1, attempting to turn left onto Rt. 1. Giroux was stopped behind Stockford. As Stockford began the turn, her view became obstructed, due to the temporary stop sign. Stockford was not sure traffic was clear and stopped again. Giroux, not seeing Stockford stopping, ran into the rear of her vehicle. Giroux’s 2003 Ford pickup truck sustained an estimated $1000 in damage and Stockford’s 2000 GMC sustained an estimated $3000 in damage. Sgt. Daniel Sceviour was the investigating officer.
On May 27, an accident occurred on Senott Road in Whitefield involving Michael P. Emery, 24, of South China. Emery was traveling west and due to traveling too fast, he ran off the road and struck several trees. Emery’s 1998 Subaru sustained an estimated $5000 in damage. Deputy Todd Chilton was the investigating officer.
On May 30, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Lawrence G. Bailey, 30, of Bowdoinham. Bailey lost control of his vehicle, ran off the road and hit a wooden fence. He then continued through the fence and struck a tree. Bailey’s 1998 Honda sustained an estimated $7000 in damage. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On May 30, an accident occurred on Rt. 1 in Newcastle involving Ashlee N. McGhee, 20, of Newcastle and William S. Ford, 27, of New Haven, Conn. Ford was stopped and waiting to merge onto Rt. 1 southbound. McGhee was traveling behind Ford’s vehicle and thought Ford was starting to merge onto Rt. 1. However, Ford stopped and as a result, McGhee’s front end struck Ford’s rear bumper area. McGhee’s 2005 Toyota sustained an estimated $4000 in damage and Ford’s 2007 Kia sustained an estimated $4000 in damage. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On May 31, an accident occurred on Route 215 in Newcastle involving Lawrence Barton, 86, of Brunswick. Barton was traveling north when he turned right to stay on Rt. 215, however, he drove off the road and struck a tree. Barton’s 1998 Saturn sustained an estimated $3000 in damage. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
