July 29, Wade Deveney, 46, of Monroe was issued a summons for violating condition of release, at the Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Det. Robert McFetridge.
July 30, Olga L. Schmidt, 69, of Ocean Pines, Md. was issued a summons for operating a vehicle without a license, on Main Street, Newcastle, by Deputy Matthew Day.
July 31, Adam Longchamps, 23, of Greene was issued a summons for possession of a usable amount of marijuana, on Gardiner Road, Dresden, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
Aug. 1, Tanya Cunningham, 41, of Canton was issued a summons for operating after suspension, on Gardiner Road, Dresden, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
July 28, Randal E. Goff, 43, of Alna was arrested for aggravated criminal mischief, on Alna Road, Alna, by Deputy Brian Collamore.
July 30, Harold E. Morton, 28, of Bristol was arrested on a superior court warrant for failure to appear in court, on Westhaver Lane, Bristol, by Deputy Matthew Day.
July 31, Shawn N. McCausland, 37, of Presque Isle was arrested for criminal trespass, on West Alna Road, Wiscasset, by Deputy Scott Hayden and Wiscasset Officer Donald Smith.
July 31, Christine Elwell, 40, of Thomaston was arrested for assault, on West Alna Road, Wiscasset, by Deputy Peter Kenyon.
July 31, Nathan E. Brewer, 23, of Wiscasset was arrested for assault, on West Alna Road, Wiscasset, by Det. Sgt. Kenneth Hatch.
July 31, Thomas J. Hourihan, 21, of Damariscotta was arrested for aggravated forgery, on Biscay Road, Damariscotta, by Deputy Scott Hayden who was assisted by Damariscotta Officer Aaron Beck.
Aug. 1, Clifford S. Albert, 34, of Portland was arrested for domestic violence assault and two counts of assault, on Rooney Lane, Whitefield, by Deputy Mark Bridgham.
Aug. 2 Nathan E. Brewer, 23, of Wiscasset was arrested on a probation violation, on Old Stage Road, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy Donald Smith.
On July 27, an accident occurred on Rt. 27 in Boothbay involving Fred L. Ackley, 82, of Boothbay Harbor and Erin I. Kelly, 23, of Boothbay. Ackley was exiting a parking lot and did not observe Kelly’s vehicle. As a result, Kelly was unable to avoid striking Ackley’s vehicle. Ackley’s 1996 Mercury sustained an estimated $1500 in damage and Kelly’s 2002 Ford sustained an estimated $3500 in damage. Deputy Peter Kenyon was the investigating officer.
On July 27, an accident occurred on Mills Road in Newcastle involving Evan M. Patierno, 21, of Groton, Mass.; Brian Stebner, 19, of Nobleboro and Griffin N. Dunne, 19, of Cambridge, Vt. Patierno was traveling south and failed to stop at the stop sign. Stebner was traveling west in the intersection. As a result, Patierno struck Stebner’s vehicle pushing it into the east lane causing Stebner to strike Dunne’s vehicle, which was traveling east. Patierno’s 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck sustained an estimated $5000 in damage; Stebner’s 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck sustained an estimated $3500 in damage and Dunne’s 2004 Audi sustained an estimated $5500 in damage. Deputy Peter Kenyon was the investigating officer.
On July 27, an accident occurred on Rt. 27 on Southport Island involving Susan Endicott, 56, of Southport Island. Endicott was traveling north when a deer ran in front of her vehicle and was struck. Endicott’s 1988 Volvo station wagon sustained an estimated $1000 in damage. Det. Robert McFetridge was the investigating officer.
On July 28, an accident occurred on Academy Hill in Newcastle involving Timothy M. Gregory, 19, of Jefferson and Richard D. Halverson, 87, of Newcastle. Gregory was traveling northbound and Halverson was entering Academy Hill Road from Middle Road. Gregory, due to a rise obscuring his view as well as traveling slightly above the posted speed limit, struck the drivers side of Halverson’s vehicle. Halverson’s vision was also partially obscured due to the rise in the roadway and did not see Gregory approaching. Gregory’s 2001 Dodge pickup truck sustained an estimated $1800 in damage and Halverson’s 2002 Volkswagen station wagon sustained an estimated $8000 in damage. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On July 30, an accident occurred on Rt. 32 in Bristol involving Jan M. Taliento, 17, of Damariscotta and Robert Y. Poland, 84, of Round Pond. Taliento was traveling south and Poland was entering Rt. 32 from Upper Round Pond Road. Poland pulled out in front of Taliento and was struck. Taliento’s 2008 Mitsubishi sustained an estimated $1500 in damage and Poland’s 1998 Ford pickup truck sustained an estimated $100 in damage. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On July 30, an accident occurred in the parking lot of the East Boothbay General Store in East Boothbay involving Patricia A. Brunell, 56, of Boothbay and Linn M. Cassetta, 59, of Westport, Conn. Cassetta’s vehicle was parked in the parking lot unoccupied. Brunell was parked west of Cassetta’s vehicle and began backing out when she struck Cassetta’s vehicle. Brunell’s 2003 Chevrolet sustained no damage and Cassetta’s 2004 BMW station wagon sustained an estimated $2000 in damage. Deputy Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
On July 30, an accident occurred on Main Street in Newcastle involving Carol Clement, 72, of St. George and Darrell A. Benner, 32, of Newcastle. Benner was traveling westbound on Main Street and Clement was traveling northbound. Clement proceeded to turn left onto Newcastle Square and proceeded straight towards Mills Road. Clement failed to stop for the stop sign and Benner struck Clement’s vehicle in the right rear. Clement’s 2008 Kia sustained an estimated $5000 in damage and Benner’s 2001 Ford van sustained an estimated $500 in damage. Deputy Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
On July 31, an accident occurred in the Boothbay Post Office parking lot involving Carroll Cunningham, 67, of Boothbay and Melissa D. Cullina, 38, of Southport. Cunningham was backing out of a parking spot and did not see Cullina parked behind him. When he backed out of the spot, the left rear of his truck struck the left front of Cullina’s vehicle. Cunningham’s 1988 Toyota pickup truck sustained an estimated $300 in damage and Cullina’s 2005 Toyota sustained an estimated $1000 in damage. Reserve Deputy Neil Genthner was the investigating officer.
On August 1, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Linda M. Reamer, 65, of Essex, Conn. and Daniel M. O’Reilly, 70, of Newburyport, Mass. Reamer was following O’Reilly southbound when she failed to see him stopped in heavy traffic and struck his vehicle in the rear. Reamer’s 2001 Acura utility vehicle sustained an estimated $1000 in damage and O’Reilly’s 2004 Volvo utility vehicle sustained an estimated $1000 in damage. Deputy Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.
