Lincoln County Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On Aug. 31, Deputy Scott Hayden responded to a U.S. Cellular report that copper grounding wires were taken off their tower.
On Aug. 31, Sgt. Brendan Kane responded to a report of a residence being broken into at Hollywood Boulevard in Whitefield.
On Sept. 2, Deputy Justin Drake responded to a reported theft of coins from a truck and residence on Phils Hill Road in Newcastle.
On Sept. 2, Deputy Kevin Dennison responded to a report that a self-storage unit was broken into in Whitefield.
On Sept. 3, Deputy Justin Drake responded to a report of the theft of a Yamaha motor from McCarty Cove Road, Westport Island.
On Sept. 3, Deputy Mark Bridgham responded to a report of multiple items stolen from Atwood Lane in Bristol.
On Aug. 31, an accident occurred on Main Road in Westport Island involving Robert Soucy, 55, of Chelsea. A bicyclist was southbound on Main Road in a construction zone. Soucy was pulling his 1997 Ford from a parking space out into traffic and did not see the bicycle. Deputy Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 1, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Brynne Hanna, 25, of Bristol and Lauren Witwicki, 21, of Bath. Hanna was stopped in traffic while merging onto Rt. 1. Ms. Witwicki failed to stop her 2002 Mazda and struck Hanna’s 1999 Volkswagen. Sgt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 4, an accident occurred on Waldoboro Road in Jefferson involving Richard Beaudoin, 33, of Alna. Beaudoin was operating his 2008 Kawasaki east on Route 32 when he left the roadway onto the dirt shoulder, resulting in his being ejected from the bike. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
