Sheriff Todd Brackett Reports the following:
On Dec. 1, Major Ken Mason took a report of a theft in the Dresden area. The complainant stated that sometime between Nov. 27 and Nov. 30, someone(s) stole a Fisher Minuteman, eight-foot yellow plow. Approximate value is $2500. There are no suspects or leads at this time.
Dec. 3, Justin Sylvester, 23, of Nobleboro was issued a summons for operating under the influence, on U.S. Rt. 1, Nobleboro, by Det. Sgt. Kenneth Hatch.
Dec. 4, Samantha A. Trahan, 19, of South China was issued a summons for operating after suspension, on Augusta Road, Whitefield, by Deputy Todd Chilton.
Nov. 30, Leo W. Barter, 39, of Boothbay was arrested for violating condition of release, on Back Narrows Road, Boothbay, by Det. Ronald Rollins.
Nov. 30, Gregory W. Lawson, 53, of South Bristol was arrested for reckless conduct with a firearm and terrorizing, on Rt. 129, South Bristol, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
Dec. 1, Karen Harrington, 25 of Wiscasset was arrested for unlawful possession of scheduled drug and violating condition of release, on Lowelltown Road, Wiscasset, by Det. Ronald Rollins.
Dec. 3, Alan J. Walsh, 47, of Thomaston was arrested for operating under the influence and violating condition of release, on Rt. 1, Woolwich, by Det. Sgt. Kenneth Hatch.
Dec. 3, Thomas S. Benner, 24, of Bristol was arrested for violating condition of release, on Bristol Road, Bristol, by Deputy Todd Chilton.
Dec. 4, Brandon L. McInnis, 21, of Whitefield was arrested for violating condition of release, on Augusta Road, Whitefield, by Deputy Todd Chilton.
Dec. 4, Justin Swift, 19, of Whitefield was arrested on a warrant out of Lincoln County for a failure to appear charge, on Hilton Road, Whitefield, by Reserve Deputy Neil Genthner.
Dec. 4, Richard Latter, 50, of Wiscasset – Speeding 61 mph in a posted 40 mph speed zone – Rte. 27, Boothbay, by Sgt. Jason Nein.
Dec. 4, Frederick Wallace, 47, of Alna, failure to display a current inspection sticker, Rt. 194, Newcastle, by Reserve Dep. Neil Genthner.
On Dec. 1, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Michael R. Gudroe, 37, of Boothbay Harbor. Gudroe was operating his 2008 Chevrolet northbound when he failed to observe a vehicle stopped in traffic, also traveling north. Gudroe entered the southbound shoulder, struck several small trees before rolling over and coming to rest on its side in a private yard. Lt. Rand Maker was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 1, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Samantha A. Knightly, 28, of Boothbay and Kathy S. Frizzell, 59, of Alna. Frizzell had just started operating her 2007 Dodge southbound from a stopped position in traffic. Knightly failed to observe Frizzle’s vehicle and struck it with her 2000 Chrysler Cirrus. Lt. Rand Maker was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 1, an accident occurred on Waldoboro Road in Bremen involving Aaron A. Simmons, 37, of Bremen. Simmons was operating his 2002 Pontiac Grand Am southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the east and was struck. Deputy Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 2, an accident occurred on Foster Road in Bristol involving Tobin Burnham, 31, of Bristol. Burnham was operating his 1986 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound when he failed to negotiate a corner. This caused the motorcycle to get into the soft shoulder, strike a mailbox and then struck a pile of rocks. Mr. Burnham was ejected from the motorcycle. Deputy Matthew Day is the investigating officer.
On Dec. 3, an accident occurred on Colby Road in Somerville involving David P. Gardner, 55, of Washington. Gardner was entering the Colby Road from a driveway when the accelerator stuck. Mr. Gardner was unable to control his 1997 Jeep Wrangler and left the roadway, striking a tree and causing significant front-end damage. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 4, an accident occurred on Rt. 1 in Edgecomb involving Sheila A. Gallagher, 50, of Gorham. Gallagher was operating her 2004 Toyota Tacoma northbound on the bridge when she lost control of her vehicle on the ice covered roadway. As a result, Gallagher struck the guardrail. Sgt. Alan Shea was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 5, an accident occurred on Head Tide Road in Alna involving James C. Olsen, 38, of Dresden. Olsen was operating his 1998 Toyota T-100 eastbound when he lost control of his vehicle due to black ice. As a result, his vehicle left the roadway and came to rest on the driver’s side door. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 5, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Carole L. Hamm-Hopla, 48, of Boothbay Harbor. Hamm-Hopla was operating her 2003 Ford Explorer southbound when he lost a tire off his vehicle and steered it to a parking lot. Deputy Todd Chilton was the investigating officer.
