Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
Oct. 24: Jeremy S. Bent, 19, of Walpole was arrested for unlawful possession of scheduled drug, on Rt. 129, South Bristol, by Det. Ronald Rollins and Det. Terry Michaud.
Oct. 25, Tobin Burnham, 30, of Bristol was issued a summons for criminal mischief, on Main Street, Newcastle, by Deputy Chad Gilbert.
Oct. 26, a 17-year-old female from Jefferson was issued a summons for passing a stopped school bus on Academy Hill, Newcastle, by Deputy Mark Bridgham.
Oct. 29, Kincaid L. Rines, 67, of Dresden was issued a summons for attaching false plates, on Middle Road, Dresden, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
On Oct. 27, an accident occurred on South Clary Road in Jefferson involving Mack A. McCrimmon, 56, of Whitefield. McCrimmon was operating his 1996 Chevrolet 3500 southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the west side and struck his passenger side door. Deputy Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 28, an accident occurred on Rt. 1 in Newcastle, involving Jeremy T. Payson, 22, of Washington and Bobbie A. Robinson, 51, of Waldoboro. Payson was operating a 1993 Chevrolet S10 southbound when his vehicle hit an ice patch. As a result, he lost control of the vehicle and the rear end struck Robinson’s 2004 Dodge Intrepid as it was passing. Payson regained control after striking the guardrail on the passenger side. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 29, an accident occurred on East Pond Road in Nobleboro involving Donald A. Hastings, 81, of Jefferson and Jennifer L. Bolte, 22, of Jefferson. Hastings was operating a 2002 Ford Explorer east and Bolte was pulling a 2005 Dodge Stratus out of a driveway to go west. Bolte failed to yield to Hastings, causing his vehicle to hit her vehicle. Reserve Deputy Thomas Hoepner was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 29, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Richard E. Longevin, 42, of Corinna and Kincaid L. Rines, 67, of Dresden. Rines began turning his 1996 Ford pickup truck left onto the James Eddy Road from the Middle Road. Longevin passed Rines in his 2007 Pontiac G5. The rear passenger’s side of Longevin’s vehicle came into contact with the front driver’s side fender of Rines’ vehicle, causing Longevin’s vehicle to spin out. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 30, an accident occurred on Rt. 1 in Nobleboro involving Taylor A. Williamson, 19, of Waldoboro. Williamson was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado southbound when he lost control of his vehicle due to wet and heavy snow. He attempted to correct the skid but could not recover before striking the guardrail on the driver’s side head lamp area. His vehicle then rotated and skidded down over an embankment some 50-ft. into the woods. His truck’s tailgate was open and as his vehicle came to final rest, the tailgate struck a tree. Deputy Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 30, an accident occurred on Main Road on Westport Island involving Christopher C. Webber, 41, of Westport Island. Webber was operating his 2001 Chevrolet Silverado northbound when a deer entered the roadway. Webber was unable to avoid striking the deer, resulting in the vehicle leaving the roadway and striking several trees. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
