Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
March 3, Corey A. Prock, 19, of Nobleboro was issued a summons for minor possessing liquor, on Main Street, Newcastle, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
Feb. 29, Tiffanee Fraughton, 38, of Jefferson was arrested on a warrant for a previous failure to pay fines and fees on a possession of scheduled drugs, Operating Under the Influence and Operating After Suspension, on Atwood Lane, Bristol, by Deputy Todd Chilton.
March 1, Michael Niles Jr., 27, of Nobleboro was arrested for burglary; theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and violating condition of release, on Upper East Pond Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Brian Collamore.
March 3, Randal Blasius, 20, of Friendship was arrested for violating condition of release; misuse of identification and minor transporting liquor, on Main Street, Newcastle, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
On March 1, an accident occurred on West Shore Road on Westport Island involving Scott M. Croxford, 33, of Richmond. Croxford was operating his 1998 Subaru Legacy southbound when he lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway and hit a tree. Major Ken Mason was the investigating officer.
On March 2, an accident occurred on Ridge Road in Newcastle involving Pauline B. Labelle-Weeks, 63, of Whitefield. Ms. Labelle-Weeks was operating her 2004 Chevrolet Ventura southbound when she lost control, slid off the roadway and struck a rock wall. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On March 2, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Alan W. Watts, 63, of Boothbay and Martha B. Snow, 56, of East Boothbay. Watts was operating his 1999 Dodge Ram northbound and had signaled a left hand turn. Snow, who was operating a 2005 International Harvester/ Navistar 7400, did not see Watts activate his turn signal nor did she realize that his vehicle had slowed. This resulted in the Snow vehicle striking the Watts’ vehicle in the right rear bumper area. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
On March 3, an accident occurred on Rt. 144 on Westport Island involving Michelle L. Chartier, 38, of Westport Island. Chartier was operating her 1997 Ford Explorer northbound when she lost control of her vehicle around a curve. As a result, her vehicle slid off the roadway and struck a utility pole. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On March 5, an accident occurred on Waldoboro Road in Bremen involving Cierra J. Little, 18, of Bremen. Little was operating her 1993 Toyota Camry northbound when she lost control on the snow covered road. While still on the public road and traveling north, Ms. Little’s vehicle struck an unloaded car carrier that had been improperly parked and partially in the northbound public way. Lt. Rand Maker was the investigating officer.
On March 5, an accident occurred on East Pond Road in Nobleboro involving Lorna M. Cole, 45, of Jefferson. Cole was operating her 1998 Subaru Legacy southbound when she slid off the roadway and struck a utility pole. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
