Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On April 24, Deputy Brian Collamore was dispatched to a report of theft in the Nobleboro area. The complainant stated that two galvanized steel dock ladders were taken from her summer residence. They were last seen in the fall and were valued at approximately $500. Further investigation to follow if leads come forth.
On April 27, Deputy Justin Drake took a report of criminal mischief in the Bristol area. The complainant reported that someone had put an unidentified liquid in his vehicle’s gas tank while he was out fishing. Investigation to continue upon new leads.
April 21, James Grover, 18, of Wiscasset was issued a summons for illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, on River Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
April 21, Rachel Cushing, 20, of Boothbay was issued a summons for illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, on River Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
April 21, Regina Forgrave, 20, of Wiscasset was issued a summons for illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, on River Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
April 21, Vanessa L. Knowlton, 20, of Boothbay was issued a summons for illegal possession of alcohol by a minor, on River Road, Edgecomb, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
April 26, Dana L. Sprague, 55, of Nobleboro was issued a summons for domestic violence criminal threatening – priors, on Sprague Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Justin Drake.
April 28, Richy Lapointe, 40, of Whitefield was arrested on a warrant for negotiating a worthless instrument, on Mills Road, Whitefield, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
On April 25, an accident occurred on Rt. 32 in Bremen involving Danielle J. Beardsley, 25, of Union. Beardsley was operating her 2001 Toyota Corolla southbound on Rt. 32 at its intersection with Keene Neck Road when she avoided a deer in the roadway and lost control of her vehicle. As a result, she entered the northbound ditch and struck several rocks and small trees before coming to rest. Lt. Rand Maker was the investigating officer.
On April 25, an accident occurred on Morgan Hill Road in Nobleboro involving Macey E. McIntosh, 19, of New Harbor. McIntosh was operating her 2007 Hyundai Elantra southbound when she failed to negotiate a corner, while texting on her phone. As a result, her vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole. Deputy Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
On April 27, an accident occurred at the Louis Doe Home Center parking lot involving Howard W. Matchett, 63, of Boothbay Harbor. Matchett was negotiating a right turn in his 2012 Ford E450 inside the parking lot when he failed to observe a storage shed at the edge of the parking lot. As a result, he struck the shed as he attempted to make the right hand turn. Lt. Rand Maker was the investigating officer.
On April 28, an accident occurred on Snead Spur in Newcastle involving Charles F. Jewitt, 60, of Nobleboro and Craig E. Barter, 28, of Boothbay. Jewitt was operating his 2001 Subaru Legacy westbound on River Road extension and was followed by Barter, who was operating his 2008 Chrysler Pacifica. Jewitt stopped at the stop sign at the Bus. Rt. 1 intersection and Barter stopped behind him. Jewitt crept forward so that he could better determine if it was clear to pull out and Barter struck his vehicle from behind. Reserve Deputy Mark Walsh was the investigating officer.
On April 30, an accident occurred at the Lincoln Academy parking lot involving Quin E. Boyd, 16, of Woolwich and Carla G. Skinner, 47, of Nobleboro. Boyd was attempting to get her 2001 Volvo into a parking spot when she backed out to try again. Skinner was passing in her 2010 Mazda when Boyd failed to see Skinner’s vehicle behind her and struck it. Deputy Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.
