July 26, Justin M. Coppola, 20, of Bristol, Conn. was arrested for operating under the influence; sale and use of drug paraphernalia; possession of marijuana and drug/narcotic violations, on Rt. 1, Edgecomb, by Deputy Todd Chilton, who was assisted by Deputy Matthew Day.
July 29, Robert K. Hughes, 56, of Boothbay was arrested for operating under the influence – no test, on Back Narrows Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Amber Jeskey, who was assisted by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
July 26, Ricky Lapointe, 40, of Whitefield, failure to show proof of insurance; permitting unlawful use of a motor vehicle, Mills Rd., Whitefield, Dep. Scott Hayden.
July 26, Kristina Simmons, 19, of Nobleboro, failure to stop at a stop sign, Rt. 1, Damariscotta, Dep. Brian Collamore.
July 28, Nathaniel Schwehm, 19, of Boothbay, operator not using a seatbelt, Rt. 96, East Boothbay, Sgt. Jason Nein.
July 28, John Davee, 16, of Hope, carrying passengers beyond interim license restriction, Rt. 1, Nobleboro, Dep. Matthew Day.
July 28, John Lewis, 51, of Winchester, Va., parking in a restricted area, Fish Point Rd., Bristol, Dep. Scott Hayden.
July 29, Arden McSwain, 17, of Edgecomb, speeding, 53 mph in a posted 35 mph speed zone, Rt. 27, Dresden, Dep. Mark Bridgham.
On July 27, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving Edgar T. Rankin, 67, of Wiscasset and Donald J. Pickard, 71, of Topsham. Pickard’s 2002 GMC 1500 was parked in the parking lot of Here’s the Scoop on Gardiner Road. Rankin began backing his 2004 Ford Escape from a parking spot and did not see Pickard’s vehicle parked behind him and struck the vehicle in the passenger side rear. Deputy Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
On July 27, an accident occurred on Rt. 1 in Nobleboro involving William H. Wanger, 77, of Alna. Wanger was operating his 1998 Mercedes-Benz southbound when a moose entered the roadway and was struck. Sgt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
On July 27, an accident occurred on Rt. 1 in Nobleboro involving Craig S. Shain, 50, of Cumberland and Barry W. Reed, 31, of Friendship. Shain, who was operating a 2010 Honda, and Reed, who was operating a 1997 Buick Lasabre, were both traveling northbound when Shain stopped quickly and Reed rear-ended his vehicle. Deputy Amber Jeskey was the investigating officer.
On July 28, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Suzanne Hamblett, 71, of Portsmouth, N.H. and Dillion Mitchell, 20, of Woolwich. Hamblett was operating her 2004 Saab 9-5 southbound and was slowing in traffic to make a left hand turn into the parking lot of Onboard Fabrics. Mitchell was also operating his 1998 Toyota Camry southbound, but was not able to slow quick enough to avoid hitting Hamblett’s vehicle in the rear. Reserve Deputy Jennifer Sherman was the investigating officer.
On July 28, an accident occurred on Rt. 1 in Edgecomb involving Kristye R. Hensel, 29, of Portsmouth, N.H. and Brian J. Klesmith, 26, of Stamford, Conn. Klesmith was sitting in his 2011 Mazda 3G stationary in southbound traffic when Hensel, who was operating a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta, failed to see Klesmith’s vehicle stopped in front of her. Hensel stated that she looked in her rear view mirror for a moment and failed to see the stopped traffic and struck Klesmith’s vehicle in the rear. Deputy Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.
On July 28, an accident occurred on Egypt Road in Alna involving Cameron M. Creamer, 19, of Newcastle. Creamer was operating his 2000 GMC 1500 southbound when he failed to negotiate a bend in the road. As a result, his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Sgt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
On July 29, an accident occurred on Rt. 1 in Newcastle involving Joshua W. Robichaud, 18, of Auburn and Grace A. Barron, 56, of Houston, Penn. Robichaud was operating his 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo northbound when he signaled to make a left hand turn and was struck from behind by Barron, who was operating her 2008 Chrysler. Deputy Amber Jeskey was the investigating officer.
