On Sept. 1, Deputy Mark Bridgham responded to a report of criminal mischief of broken windows to a camp in the Somerville area. Further investigation to follow if leads develop.
Aug. 27, Scott R. Landry, 34, of Augusta, was issued a summons for operating after suspension, on Rt. 1, Waldoboro, by Deputy Chad Gilbert.
Sept. 1, Cameron M. Brann, 22, of Whitefield, was issued a summons for operating vehicle without a license, on Rockland Road, Whitefield, by Deputy Scott Hayden.
Sept. 1, Zachary W. Thorbjornson, 25, of Thomaston, was issued a summons for operating after suspension, on Rt. 1, Nobleboro, by Deputy Brian Collamore.
Aug. 31, Gary L. Brewer, 60, of Boothbay was arrested for operating under the influence, on Wiscasset Road, Boothbay, by Sgt. Jason Nein.
Sept. 1, Travis A. Grady, 37, of Whitefield was arrested for operating under the influence, on Cooper Road, Whitefield, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.

Aug. 30, Catherine Roberts, 28, of Waldoboro, speeding, 55 mph in a posted 40 mph speed zone, Rt. 32, Waldoboro, Dep. Brian Collamore.
Aug. 30, Johnathan Riley, 17, of Bremen, speeding, 42 mph in a posted 25 mph speed zone, Academy Hill Rd., Newcastle, Dep. Mark Bridgham.
Aug. 30, Jenna Koonin, 26, of Leonia, N.J., speeding, 76 mph in a posted 55 mph speed zone, Rt. 1, Newcastle, Sgt. Daniel Sceviour.
On Aug. 28, an accident occurred on Bristol Road in Bristol involving Steven W. Coombs, 25, of Bristol and Jean E. Smith, 84, of New Harbor. Coombs was operating his 1998 Pontiac Bonneville southbound when Smith, who was operating her 2005 Toyota Prius northbound, attempted to make a left hand turn into a driveway. As a result, Smith struck Coombs’ vehicle in the left rear bumper area causing minor damage. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 28, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Jacob H. Ripley, 16, of Edgecomb and Michael R. Edgecomb, 53, of Lewiston. Ripley was operating his 1996 GMC Jimmy southbound. Edgecomb, operating his 2006 Honda Odyssey, was stopped in the southbound travel lane in traffic waiting to turn left onto Hardwick Road. Ripley failed to see Edgecomb stopped and struck his vehicle in the rear. Sgt. Jason Nein was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 28, an accident occurred on South Clary Road in Jefferson involving Benjamin K. Chute, 17, of Nobleboro and Patricia A. Sarver, 61, of Jefferson. Sarver was operating her 2002 Mazda Tribute southbound. Due to a tree that had fallen and was blocking the roadway, Sarver was stopped in the southbound travel lane. Chute was also traveling southbound in his 1994 Chevrolet 1500 and when he came over the crest in the road, he could not stop in time and struck Sarver’s vehicle in the rear. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 30, an accident occurred on Rt. 27 in Boothbay involving Kyle K. Holbrook, 18, of Richmond. Holbrook was operating his 1996 Acura Integra southbound when he fell asleep and crossed the center line. As a result, he drove off the roadway and struck a utility pole. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 31, an accident occurred on Rockland Road in Jefferson involving John D. Jackie, 65, of Camden and Christine E. Urquhart, 63, of Camden. Jackie was operating his 1996 Lincoln Town car westbound on Rt. 17 and Urquhart was operating her 2010 Jeep Liberty eastbound. Jackie slowed down and began to make a left hand turn into a business and failed to yield to Urquhart’s vehicle. Urquhart tried to avoid Jackie’s vehicle by turning to the right but could not avoid his vehicle and they collided. Deputy Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 1, an accident occurred on Rt. 1 in Newcastle involving Joseph T. Nickley Jr., 55, of Abington, Mass. Nickley was operating his 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer northbound when a moose entered the roadway from the northbound shoulder and was struck. The moose then fled the scene. Lt. Rand Maker was the investigating officer.
On Sept. 3, an accident occurred on Rt. 1 in Damariscotta involving Leena M. Jansson, 59, of Damariscotta and Janelle E. A. Burns, 21, of Nobleboro. Jansson was operating her 2002 Subaru Legacy westbound on Center Street approaching the stop sign at Rt. 1. Burns was operating her 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on Rt. 1, traveling with the right of way. As Jansson approached the stop sign, she proceeded past the sign without stopping. As a result, Burns struck Jansson’s vehicle in the southbound lane of Rt. 1. Sgt. Daniel Sceviour was the investigating officer.
