Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
June 14, Eden Mathews, 25, of Bristol, was issued a summons for attaching false plates, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Deputy Todd Chilton.
Vendino T. Milliano, 34, of Wiscasset, was arrested on a warrant out of Cumberland County for failure to appear, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Transport Deputy James Read.
On June 16, Deputy Todd Chilton assisted Wiscasset Police Officer Donald Smith in locating William Morton, 25, of Boothbay, who was involved in an assault earlier in the evening. Morton was located and transported to Two Bridges Jail, where he was turned over to Officer Donald Smith.
June 11, Gordon Tibbetts, 69, of Alna, failing to show proof of insurance, Main St., Newcastle, Dep. Kenneth Hatch.
Irene Fowle, 63, of Boothbay, speeding 71 mph in a posted 50 mph speed zone, Rt. 27, Boothbay, Sgt. Jason Nein.
June 12, Nicholas Burge, 16, of Boothbay, speeding 62 mph in a posted 45 mph speed zone, Rt. 96/Bayville Rd. Intersection, Boothbay Harbor, Sgt. Jason Nein.
Niles Quinn, 35, of Woolwich, failing to display an inspection sticker, Rt. 27, Boothbay Harbor, Sgt. Jason Nein.
June 13, Sarah Williams, 26, of Farmingdale, speeding 39 mph in a posted 15 mph school zone, Rt. 126, Whitefield, Dep. Todd Chilton.
On June 11, an accident occurred on Main Street (municipal parking lot) in Damariscotta involving Curtis W. Ogg, 71, of Jefferson City, Mo., and Michael D. Bush, 60, of Salem, Ala. Both operators were backing from a legal parked position. Ogg was operating his 2004 Toyota eastbound and Bush was operating his 2011 Ford westbound. Bush observed Ogg backing out and stopped in the travel portion of the parking lot. Ogg did not observe Bush stopped and as a result, Ogg struck Bush’s vehicle. Lt. Rand Maker was the investigating officer.
On June 12, an accident occurred on Route 218 in Whitefield involving Ernestine B. Lincoln, 79, of Whitefield, and Beverly G. Gray, 61, of Pittston. Lincoln was operating her 2001 Dodge Intrepid southbound and slowed to turn left into her driveway. Gray was following Lincoln in her 2004 Mazda Tribute and she failed to stop in time and struck the rear of Lincoln’s vehicle. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On June 13, an accident occurred on Rt. 1 in Nobleboro involving John B. Ladley, 81, of Rockland. Ladley was operating his 2002 Subaru Forester southbound when a deer entered the roadway from the west and was struck. Deputy Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
On June 13, an accident occurred on Biscay Road in Damariscotta involving Kalia L. Breskin, 63, of Boothbay. Breskin was operating her 2002 Subaru Forester westbound when a deer ran in front of her vehicle and was struck. Deputy Aaron Beck was the investigating officer.
On June 15, an accident occurred on Rockland Road in Jefferson involving Joseph A. Forcillo, 51, of Grosse Point, Mich. Forcillo was operating his 2012 Nissan Rogue northbound when he tried to make a left hand turn into the Peaslee’s store parking lot. Forcillo failed to negotiate the turn and left the roadway, coming to rest in a ditch. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
On June 16, an accident occurred on Duck Puddle Road in Nobleboro involving James W. Courville, 22, of Nobleboro. Courville was operating his 2006 Honda westbound when a small animal crossed the road in the path of his vehicle. Courville swerved to the right to avoid a collision and drove into a small ditch. Detective Robert McFetridge was the investigating officer.
On June 16, an accident occurred on Rt. 1 in Edgecomb involving Benjamin W. Cottrell, 38, of Winterport, and Seth T. McFarland, 16, of West Gardiner. Cottrell was operating his 1997 Ford in heavy traffic. McFarland was stopped in his 2001 Cadillac Seville at a stop sign/flashing red light waiting for R. 1 traffic to clear so he could make a left hand turn onto Rt. 1, heading southbound. McFarland attempted the left hand turn onto Rt. 1 into the path of Cottrell’s vehicle and struck it. Reserve Deputy Mark Walsh was the investigating officer.
