Lincoln County Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On Aug. 31, Deputy Justin Drake was dispatched to a report of a theft of a step ladder (value: $150) from a residence in the Damariscotta area. The ladder is described as being an older fiber glass model. Further investigation to continue if leads develop.
On Aug. 28, Deputy Justin Drake was dispatched to a report of a theft in the Edgecomb area. The complainant stated that she had the items, a case of toilet paper, vacuum cleaner, rakes, shovel and a pitch fork stored in the back of a van, which was unlocked, and had discovered them missing. Further investigation to continue if leads develop.
Aug. 29, Jaylin Burgess, 40, of Westport Island was issued a summons for misuse of identification and forgery, on Westport Island, by Det. Scott Hayden.
Aug. 29, James H. Libby, 33, of Damariscotta was issued a summons for taking shellfish without a license, on Ingraham Lane, South Bristol, by Lt. Rand Maker.
Aug. 27, Nathon A. Taylor, 34, of Wiscasset turned himself in to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant for a probation violation, in Wiscasset, where he was arrested by Deputy Kevin Dennison and transported to Two Bridges Regional Jail without incident.
Aug. 28, Keith L. Shaw Jr., 41, of Jefferson was arrested for operating under the influence and operating vehicle without a license, on Main Street, Damariscotta, by Reserve Deputy Scott Mercier.
Aug. 30, Lukin Manetti, 42, of Bristol was arrested on a warrant out of Cumberland County for failure to appear on a theft charge, on U.S. Route 1, Newcastle, by Sgt. Daniel Sceviour.
Sept. 1, Benjamin Haskell, 23, of Stonington was arrested for violating condition of release, on Augusta Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Kevin Dennison.
On Aug. 26, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Allyson J. Parker, 61, of Boothbay Harbor and Neena M. Jackson, 32, of Boothbay. Parker was operating her 2005 BMW X3 southbound and Jackson was following in her 2002 Dodge Intrepid. Parker slowed for traffic and Jackson struck the rear of her vehicle. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 26, an accident occurred on Cozy Cottage Road in Bristol involving Beth A. Bauer, 59, of Andover, Mass. and Dylan G. Benner-Seiders, 17, of Bristol. Benner-Seiders was backing his 1998 Dodge Ram from a parking spot when he failed to see Bauer’s 2011 Audi A6, which was unoccupied and parked legally behind him and backed into it. Sgt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 27, an accident occurred on Bog Road in Dresden involving Alexa V. Burns, 17, of Edgecomb. Burns was operating her 2005 Subaru Forester when she lost control of her vehicle and entered the eastbound ditch. Her vehicle returned to the eastbound lane and crossed the center line, where she entered the westbound ditch and struck a tree. Deputy Kevin Dennison was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 27, an accident occurred on Beath Road in Boothbay involving Nicholas S. Kilgus, 16, of Boothbay. Kilgus, who was operating his 2005 Hyundai Elantra, rounded a turn in the roadway and followed the bend further than the road, which caused him to hit a large boulder. Sgt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 28, an accident occurred on Rockland Road in Jefferson involving Dennilee D. Peaslee, 29, of Jefferson and Anthony D. Blake, 19, of Washington. Peaslee was traveling eastbound on Route 17 and was signaling to make a left hand turn. Blake was following in his 2005 Hyundai Accent and believed Peaslee’s vehicle was pulling to the right, even though the left turn signal was on. Blake went to pass the vehicle on the left and struck it as it was turning, in the rear driver’s side. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 29, an accident occurred on Middle Road in Dresden involving Grainer J. Cassidy, 31, of Brunswick. Cassidy was traveling northbound in his 1995 BMW 3 when his vehicle left the roadway on the right hand side and struck a culvert, causing his vehicle to overturn and come to rest on its wheels, facing southbound. Deputy Aaron Beck was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 30, an accident occurred on Rockland Road in Jefferson involving Julie D. Sirois, 26, of South China and Philip Glidden, 58, of Jefferson. Sirois was operating her 2008 Subaru Impreza eastbound and Glidden was facing northbound and pulling out of his driveway in his 1992 Ford Festiva onto Route 17. Glidden failed to yield the right of way and as a result, Sirois was unable to avoid a collision with Glidden’s vehicle. Deputy Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 30, an accident occurred on Lewis Hill Road in Newcastle involving Stephen Gagnon, 59, of Newcastle. Gagnon was operating his 1994 Volvo 940 southbound when he lost control of his vehicle, due to a medical condition, and left the roadway and struck a fence. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
