Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On Dec. 4, Deputy Matthew Day took a report of a theft/burglary to a wood splitter (approximate value: $750) from a residence in the Bristol area. The complainant stated that sometime in the past few weeks, someone(s) stole his 6-hp wood splitter from a barn on his property.
On Dec. 3, Deputy Matthew Day responded to a report of a burglary/theft/criminal mischief to the town garage in Bristol, where two Husqvarna chainsaws were stolen. Further investigation to follow.
Dec. 4, Maynard Brewer, 48, of Southport Island, was arrested for violating condition of release, on Hendricks Hill Road, Southport Island, by Det. Sgt. Ronald Rollins.
Dec. 4, Joshua R. Boyd, 20, of Bath, was arrested for aggravated assault and violating condition of release, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Reserve Deputy Scott Mercier.
Dec. 7, Donald M. Benner, 25, of South Bristol, was arrested for unlawful possession of scheduled drug; possession of marijuana and loaded firearm in motor vehicle, on Gardiner Road, Dresden, by Deputy Jared Mitkus.
Dec. 9, Lynn Deahl, 40, of Nobleboro was arrested for domestic violence assault, on Vannah Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Jared Mitkus, who was assisted by Sgt. Brendan Kane.
On Dec. 3, an accident occurred on Rockland Road in Somerville involving Anthony A. Rodgers, 63, of Warren. Rodgers was operating his 2007 Ford Ranger westbound when he lost control of his vehicle on the ice covered roadway. As a result, his vehicle exited the roadway on the left side and rolled over. Deputy Kenneth Hatch was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 4, an accident occurred on Patricktown Road in Somerville involving Katie E. Carroll, 18, of Somerville. Carroll was operating her 2006 Nissan westbound when she slid on a patch of ice due to icy road conditions. As a result, Carroll was unable to maintain control and slid off the road and struck a tree. Reserve Deputy Scott Mercier was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 3, an accident occurred on East Pond Road in Nobleboro involving Mary K. Sheldon, 69, of Nobleboro. Sheldon was operating her 2007 Toyota RAV4 southbound when she encountered a deer in the roadway and struck it. Deputy Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 6, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Jefferson involving Matthew P. Leclair, 29, of Lewiston. Leclair was operating his 1999 Nissan Maxima eastbound when he lost control of his vehicle, went off the roadway and flipped over. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 6, an accident occurred on Indian Road in Dresden involving Michael M. Abell, 24, of Richmond. Abell was operating his 2001 Volkswagen Jetta northbound when he failed to negotiate a sharp turn. As a result, his vehicle went into a skid, causing it to roll over. Deputy Jared Mitkus was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 7, an accident occurred on Bunker Hill Road in Jefferson involving William J. O’Brien, 86, of Jefferson. O’Brien was operating his 2012 Kia Forte northbound when a deer ran into the roadway and into the path of his vehicle. As a result, O’Brien struck and killed the deer. Reserve Deputy Mark Walsh was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 7, an accident occurred on State Route 32 in Bristol involving Glenn Genthner, 52, of Bristol. Genthner was operating his 1994 GMC Sierra southbound when a deer ran into the path of his vehicle and was struck and killed. Reserve Deputy Mark Walsh was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 7, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Whitefield involving Jontylar R. Weeks, 18, of Alna. Weeks was operating his 1994 Chevrolet 1500 southbound when he stated his truck felt like it had mechanical issues with the front end. As a result, he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. Deputy Jared Mitkus was the investigating officer.
