Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On March 29, Deputy Mark Bridgham responded to a report of a stolen/missing LG telephone (value: $50) from the Country Manor Nursing home in Coopers Mills. Report was taken and the case was suspended pending further leads.
On March 31, Sgt. Jason Nein took a report of the theft of 2014 registration validation stickers from the license plates of a resident’s vehicle in the Newcastle area. There is no suspect information at this time and this case is closed, pending new information.
March 30, Daniel Mayle, 56, of Portland was issued a summons for operating while license is suspended or revoked, on Rockland Road, Somerville, by Deputy Kenneth Hatch.
March 29, Aaron W. Ashton, 32, of Wiscasset turned himself in on a Lincoln County Superior Court warrant for failure to comply with Sex Offender Registry, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, where he was arrested by Reserve Deputy Jennifer Sherman.
March 30, Gary W. Joslyn, 38, of Wiscasset was arrested on two outstanding warrants from West Bath District Court for unpaid fines/fees, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Jared Mitkus.
March 30, Michelle Carroll, 43, of Newcastle was arrested for violating condition of release and operating after license suspension, on Atlantic Highway, Edgecomb, by Deputy Jared Mitkus.
On March 25, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Jacqueline M. Dunne, 48, of Wells. Dunne was operating her 2003 Ford Ranger northbound when she lost control of her vehicle. As a result, her vehicle left the travel portion of the roadway and struck a snow bank. Sgt. Alan Shea was the investigating officer.
On March 25, an accident occurred on Pittston Road in Whitefield involving Lisa J. Hart, 51, of Whitefield. Hart was operating her 2007 Honda Element westbound when a deer ran out of a wooded area and struck the front of her vehicle. Deputy Kenneth Hatch was the investigating officer.
On March 25, an accident occurred on Mills Road in Newcastle involving Laura S. Tucker, 51, of Jefferson. Tucker was operating her 2003 Subaru Baja northbound when a deer ran out of a wooded area and struck the front of her vehicle. The deer then ran off. Deputy Kenneth Hatch was the investigating officer.
On March 28, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Edward B. Perry, 85, of Edgecomb. Perry was operating his 1998 Subaru Legacy northbound when his left front tire suddenly blew out. As a result, Perry lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway, causing front end damage. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
On March 31, an accident occurred on Alna Road in Alna involving Jesse D. Parker, 43, of Newcastle. Parker was operating his 2013 Volkswagen Jetta northbound when he lost control of his vehicle. As a result, his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Sgt. Alan Shea was the investigating officer.
On March 31, an accident occurred on Ocean Point Road in Boothbay involving Natalie J. Brown, 17, of Boothbay. Ms. Brown was operating her 2004 Volkswagen Jetta northbound when she lost control of her vehicle due to icy road conditions. As a result, her vehicle left the roadway and struck an embankment, before coming to rest in the northbound travel lane. Deputy Justin Drake was the investigating officer.
