Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On Nov. 26, Deputy Chad Gilbert responded to a report of a theft of a catalytic converter (value: $600) in the Somerville area. The complainant stated that sometime between Nov. 23 and Nov. 26, someone(s) stole the converter from his 1993 Toyota pickup truck. Further investigation to follow if leads develop.
Nov. 28, a 17-year-old female juvenile from Rockland was issued a summons for possession of marijuana, on Route 1, Newcastle, by Sgt. Brendan Kane.
Nov. 30, Nicholas Pease, 19, of Warren was issued a summons for operating a vehicle without a license, on East Pond Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Aaron Beck.
Nov. 24, Jeffrey P. Luce, 36, of Whitefield, was arrested for violating condition of release and violating a protective order, on Hollywood Boulevard, Whitefield, by Sgt. Brendan Kane.
Nov. 27, Henry C. Benner, 58, of Bristol, was arrested for operating under the influence, on Bristol Road, Bristol, by Reserve Deputy Joel Seekins.
Nov. 29, Cory L. Merrill, 25, of Belfast, was arrested on an outstanding warrant, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Reserve Deputy Joel Seekins.
Nov. 29, Brandi Jo Littlefield, 26, of Belfast, was arrested on an outstanding warrant, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Reserve Deputy Joel Seekins.
Nov. 29, Edwin Svenson, 60, of Round Pond, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on State Route 32, Round Pond, by Deputy Mark Bridgham.
Nov. 29, Joseph R. O’Neal, 27, of Dresden, was arrested for obstructing the report of a crime or injury, on Beech Ridge Road, Dresden, by Reserve Deputy Joel Seekins.
Nov. 30, Tammy L. Boyington, 44, of Waldoboro, was arrested for domestic violence assault and violating condition of release, on Christian Hill Road, Bristol, by Deputy Justin Drake.
Dec. 1, Jeff H. Templeton, 60, of Bristol, was arrested for violating condition of release, on Route 32, Bristol, by Deputy Jared Mitkus.
On Nov. 25, an accident occurred on Egypt Road in Alna involving Correy S. Smith, 26, of Whitefield. Smith was operating his 2007 Chrysler Town and Country eastbound when he lost control of his vehicle. As a result, he went off the roadway on the right, over corrected and exited the roadway on the left, striking a group of trees. His vehicle then came to rest in the center of the roadway. Deputy Kenneth Hatch was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 25, an accident occurred on Route 215 in Newcastle involving Frank L. Hisler, 49, of Newcastle. Hisler was operating his 2004 Hyundai northbound when a deer crossed into the roadway and was struck. Reserve Deputy Joel Seekins was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 26, an accident occurred on Route 129 in South Bristol involving Adam A. Sprague, 30, of Damariscotta. Sprague was operating his 2005 Dodge 1500 pickup northbound when his vehicle slid off the roadway and struck a tree. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 26, an accident occurred on Back River Road in Boothbay involving Abraham C. Matt, 29, of Boothbay. Matt was operating his 2004 Chrysler Sebring westbound when he lost control of his vehicle on the snow covered roadway. As a result, his vehicle went off the roadway on the right and struck some large rocks. Deputy Kenneth Hatch was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 26, an accident occurred on Cross Point Road in Edgecomb involving Cara C. Ross, 38, of Edgecomb. Ross was operating her Toyota 4Runner eastbound when she lost control of her vehicle due to snow covered roads and driving too fast for the road conditions. As a result, her vehicle left the roadway and hit a concrete and rock formation at the end of a driveway. Major Ken Mason was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 26, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving Tyler S. Curtis, 32, of Passadumkeag. Curtis was operating his 2002 Dodge Neon northbound when he lost control of his vehicle due to the icy road conditions and driving too fast for the road conditions. As a result, his vehicle went off the roadway and hit a tree. Major Ken Mason was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 26, an accident occurred on Gardiner Road in Dresden involving Tyler S. Curtis, 32, of Passadumkeag and William R. Scanlon Jr., 25, of Greenbush. Scanlon was operating his 1999 Dodge Ram northbound when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions and driving too fast for the roadway conditions. Scanlon went off the roadway and struck Curtis’ vehicle, which was involved in an accident just minutes before. Mr. Scanlon’s vehicle hit Curtis’ vehicle from behind, pushing Curtis’ through a tree which it was resting against. Major Ken Mason was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 27, an accident occurred on Thayer Road in Whitefield involving Arthur J. LaChance, 66, of Pittston. LaChance was operating his 1998 Chevrolet 2500 pickup northbound when he slid off the roadway and struck a tree. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 28, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Christopher D. Morton, 39, of Brunswick. Morton was following the roadway in his 2012 Ford Focus when he hit a sheet of black ice, which caused his vehicle to slide down an embankment and into a snow bank. Deputy Ryan Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 28, an accident occurred on Waldoboro Road in Bremen involving Troy L. Glidden, 39, of Waldoboro and Jason W. Nash, 28, of Bremen. Glidden was operating his 2012 GMC Sierra southbound and Nash was moving his 1995 Volkswagen Jetta to remove snow in his driveway. Nash saw Glidden approaching and attempted to stop, however, his vehicle slid on ice in the driveway and into the path of Glidden’s vehicle. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 29, an accident occurred on Stonewall Road in Jefferson involving David A. Defiore, 57, of Augusta. Defiore was operating his 2010 Hyundai Elantra northbound when he lost control in ice and snowy conditions. As a result, his vehicle slid into the soft snow covered shoulder and came to rest in deeper snow. Deputy Mark Bridgham was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 30, an accident occurred on Waldoboro Road in Jefferson involving Daniel W. Wescott, 48, of Waldoboro and Norah L. McGinley, 23, of Jefferson. Wescott was operating his 2000 Ford F150 pickup truck southbound when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions. As a result, his vehicle crossed over the center line and struck McGinley’s 2011 Nissan Sentra, which was traveling northbound on Route 32. Wescott’s vehicle then went off the roadway, struck a utility pole and rolled over onto its side. Sgt. Matthew Day was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 30 an accident occurred on Hilton Road in Whitefield involving Eugene B. Snell, 58, of Newark, Del. Snell was operating his 2014 Jeep northbound and as he started a slight hill, he lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions. As a result, his vehicle left the roadway and came to rest in a small bunch of trees. Reserve Deputy Neil Genthner was the investigating officer.
On Nov. 30, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Kevin Marois, 20, of China. Marois was operating his 1994 Toyota Corolla northbound when he lost control of his vehicle. As a result, his vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree. Reserve Deputy Neil Genthner was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 1, an accident occurred on Waldoboro Road in Jefferson involving Shawn A. Furey, 36, of Waterville and Heather L. Gould, 26, of Sidney. Furey was following the roadway in his 2007 Ford Focus as Gould attempted to enter the roadway in her 2000 Jeep Cherokee from a driveway. Gould was unable to back up in time and both vehicles collided. Reserve Deputy Richard Woodward was the investigating officer.
On Dec. 1, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Megan L. Ryan, 37, of Brunswick. Ryan was operating her 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix northbound when deer entered the roadway from a wooded area and was struck. Sgt. Daniel Sceviour was the investigating officer.
