Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
Jan. 8, Raffi Morgan Christopher, 56, of Bristol, was arrested for violating a protective order, in Freeport, by Freeport Police Officer Richard Ray, on behalf of Sgt. Brendan Kane.
Jan. 9, Corey A. Frizzell, 35, of Boothbay, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear. Frizzell was also issued a summons for two counts of unlawful possession of a schedule drug, on Wiscasset Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Ryan Chubbuck.
Jan. 10, John P. Lawson, 22, of South Bristol, was arrested for domestic violence assault – priors, at Two Bridges Regional Jail, Wiscasset, by Deputy Chubbuck.
On Jan. 7, an accident occurred on Mills Road in Whitefield involving Margaret A. Flanagan, 47, of Whitefield. Flanagan was operating her 2009 Chevrolet 1500 southbound when she stated she fell asleep. As a result, her vehicle crossed the northbound lane, left the roadway, and collided with a tree. Deputy Jared Mitkus was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 7, an accident occurred on Head Tide Road in Alna involving Jennifer B. Ober, 68, of Jefferson. Ober was operating her 2006 Toyota Camry westbound when she lost control of her vehicle going down a hill on the ice/snow-covered roadway. As a result, her vehicle crossed the roadway, traveled off the road and down the shoulder, and struck a group of trees. Sgt. Kane was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 7, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Jean E. McAlice, 83, of Bristol, and Justin M. Bearce, 32, of Waterville. McAlice was operating her 2005 Dodge Dakota northbound and was turning into a shop. Bearce was operating his 2012 International Harvester southbound on Route 1. McAlice failed to see Bearce’s vehicle and pulled into his path of travel. Bearce was retrieving sunglasses from his lap and attempted to avoid McAlice, but both vehicles collided. McAlice failed to yield the right-of-way to Bearce’s vehicle. Sgt. Kane was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 8, an accident occurred on Cross Point Road in Edgecomb involving Cody A. Graves, 19, of Edgecomb. Graves was operating his 2000 Ford Ranger northbound. While traveling down a hill, he lost control of his vehicle due to the icy roadway. Graves turned his vehicle to leave the roadway to avoid a school bus that was discharging passengers and as a result, his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Sgt. Kane was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 9, an accident occurred on Route 126 in Jefferson involving Ashley N. Fortin, 22, of Whitefield. Fortin was operating her 2007 GMC Envoy southbound on a roadway that was snow-covered, unplowed, and unsanded, and was traveling too fast for the weather conditions. As a result, her vehicle went into a skid and she overcorrected and slid off the right side of the roadway. Her vehicle then rolled over onto the right side and entered the ditch. Reserve Deputy Joel Seekins was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 9, an accident occurred on Heath Road in Whitefield involving Kristy A. Perkins, 28, of Wiscasset. Perkins was operating her 2000 Chevrolet Blazer northbound when she lost traction and skidded across the roadway and into a utility pole. Reserve Deputy Seekins was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 9, an accident occurred on Wiscasset Road in Boothbay involving Marnie M. Mitchell, 49, of Boothbay Harbor, and Austin M. Sylvester, 54, of Nobleboro. Both vehicles were stopped at stop signs at the intersection of Wiscasset Road and Cory Lane. Both arrived at the same time. Mitchell stated she did not see Sylvester’s 1988 Mack truck and started to drive through the intersection in her 2004 Volvo. Sylvester stated he thought he had the right-of-way and did not see Mitchell start to drive, causing a collision. Deputy Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 10, an accident occurred on Pension Ridge Road in Boothbay involving Cierra J. Little, 21, of Damariscotta. Little was operating her 2006 Toyota Camry down a hill and went off the roadway on the right side and struck a telephone pole, which split the pole in half. Deputy Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 10, an accident occurred on Shore Road in Nobleboro involving Barbara J. Dale, 66, of Jefferson. Dale was backing up her 2002 Chevrolet Tracker and entered a ditch, causing her vehicle to roll over. Reserve Deputy Seekins was the investigating officer.
On Jan. 10, an accident occurred on Coastal Market Drive in Damariscotta involving Kristine Tracy, 34, of Wiscasset, and George Walker, 59, of Pemaquid. Tracy had backed her 2012 Ford Fusion out of a parking space in the parking lot and stopped to shift into drive when Walker, who was also backing from a parking space, backed into her vehicle with his 2006 Dodge 2500. Reserve Deputy Seekins was the investigating officer.
