Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On March 8, Reserve Deputy Mark Walsh was dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire at a business in the Nobleboro area. The complainant stated that when he arrived at his business, one of the trucks, which was parked in the parking lot, appeared to have been fully involved by fire at one point and apparently ran out of fuel and self-extinguished. The burned-out vehicle was a 2010 Ford F-550 dump-body truck valued at approximately $23,000. This case is under review by the Criminal Investigative Division and the Office of the Maine State Fire Marshal.
March 7, Taylor A. Lewis, 21, of Newcastle, was arrested for criminal threatening and disorderly conduct, on Main Street, Newcastle, by Deputy Brian Collamore, who was assisted by Deputy Joel Seekins.
On March 8, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving Sheridan T. Bond, 60, of Jefferson. Bond was operating his 2002 GMC Envoy when, due to a medical emergency, he lost control of his vehicle and collided with a utility pole guide wire. Deputy Mitkus was the investigating officer.
