Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On May 2, Deputy Caleb Poirier was dispatched to a report of a smashed mailbox in the Edgecomb area. The complainant stated that his mailbox and a road sign had been destroyed by an unknown vehicle. This investigation is ongoing.
May 2, Jordan N. Achorn, 21, of Jefferson, was issued a summons for criminal trespass, on Valley Road, Jefferson, by Deputy Poirier.
April 29, Alfred M. Norton, 55, of Boothbay, was arrested for unlawful possession of scheduled drug, on Back River Road, Boothbay, by Detective Mitkus and Detective Sgt. Rollins.
April 30, Thomas L. Varick, 57, of Jefferson, was arrested for operating after suspension, on Maple Lane, Jefferson, by Deputy Chad Gilbert.
April 30, Bryan M. Tillson, 32, of Whitefield, was arrested for domestic violence assault and criminal mischief, on Main Street, Whitefield, by Deputy Poirier, who was assisted by Deputy Beck.
April 30, Zachary A. Fifield, 18, Woolwich, was arrested on a Sagadahoc District Court warrant for assault, tampering with a victim, and violation of bail conditions, at the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Wiscasset, by Detective Mitkus.
May 2, Kristen Staples, 30, of Bremen, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on Medomak Road, Bremen, by Reserve Deputy Neil Genthner.
May 3, Melinda R. Brazier, 44, of Friendship, was arrested for operating under the influence, on East Old County Road, Newcastle, by Deputy Joel Seekins.
On May 2, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Robin W. Folger, 29, of Northeast Harbor. Folger was operating her 2015 Volkswagen Passat southbound and following the roadway, when a small deer ran into the roadway and struck the front passenger side of her vehicle. Deputy Seekins was the investigating officer.
