Sheriff Todd Brackett reports the following:
On Oct. 1, Deputy Chad Gilbert responded to a report of a theft of a Champion 7500W generator (value: $1,000) from a residence in the Bremen area. It is unknown when it was taken. It was possibly up to a couple of months ago, and it was just recently noticed missing. Further investigation if leads develop.
Oct. 3, Melody Huntington, 43, of Alna, was issued a summons for furnishing place for minors to consume/possess liquor, on Verney Road, Alna, by Deputy Chubbuck.
Sept. 30, Kolt P. Wallace, 20, of Nobleboro, was arrested for domestic violence criminal mischief, on Upper East Pond Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Aaron Beck, who was assisted by Deputy Chubbuck.
Sept. 30, Kody Wallace, 22, of Nobleboro, was arrested for obstructing report of a crime, on Upper East Pond Road, Nobleboro, by Deputy Beck, who was assisted by Deputy Chubbuck.
Oct. 2, Arnold Konecny, 33, of Waldoboro, was arrested for motor vehicle speeding: 30-plus mph over speed limit and violating condition of release, on Route 1, Edgecomb, by Deputy Chubbuck.
Oct. 2, Austin Waning, 20, of Nobleboro, was arrested for domestic violence assault, on U.S. Route 1, Nobleboro, by Deputy Beck.
Oct. 3, Aaron M. Mendelson, 41, of Bristol, was arrested on a Lincoln County warrant for operating under the influence, on Route 32, Bristol, by Deputy Justin Drake.
Oct. 4, Richard A. Gray Sr., 37, of Boothbay, was arrested on two warrants, one for failure to appear and another for unpaid fines, on Black Farm Road, Edgecomb, by Reserve Deputy Michael Elwell.
On Oct. 2, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Newcastle involving Kevin M. Bradley, 45, of Weston, Mass. Bradley was operating his 2013 Infinity JX35 northbound when a deer came out of the woods and struck his vehicle. Deputy Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 2, an accident occurred on Boothbay Road in Edgecomb involving David G. Hamblen, 75, of West Boothbay Harbor. Hamblen was operating his 2010 Honda Element southbound when he struck a deer, causing disabling damage to the front passenger corner of his vehicle. Deputy Caleb Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 3, an accident occurred on U.S. Route 1 in Nobleboro involving Thomas R. John, 76, of South Thomaston. John was operating his 2014 Toyota Yaris southbound at the intersection of Center Street when an unknown vehicle came off Center Street and struck his vehicle in the rear passenger corner. The unknown vehicle then left the scene. Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 3, an accident occurred on Augusta Road in Jefferson involving Jeffrey A. Brezil, 62, of New York, N.Y., and Karen H. Hutchins, 53, of Tenants Harbor. Hutchins had stopped her 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe in traffic, due to a vehicle in front of her that had stopped heading southbound. Brezil was backing his 2015 Chrysler from a private parking spot onto the main roadway and, as a result, he struck Hutchins’ vehicle. Deputy 1st Class Collamore was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 3, an accident occurred on Main Street in Newcastle involving Michael A. Mayer, 70, of Benton, Ariz., and John R. Hilton, 74, of Newcastle. Mayer was operating his 2015 Chrysler eastbound on Mills Road when he failed to yield the right-of-way at a stop sign. Hilton was operating his 2010 Ford F-150 southbound on Main Street. As a result, Mayer pulled out of the intersection in front of Hilton’s vehicle, which was unable to stop, causing both vehicles to collide. Reserve Deputy Neil Genthner was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 3, an accident occurred on Main Street in Newcastle involving Lloyd M. Mendelson, 66, of Bristol, and Rachel E. Siegel, 22, of Union. Mendelson was pulling his 2011 Toyota Tundra out of a parking spot and struck Siegel’s 2013 Hyundai Accent. Deputy Chubbuck was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 3, an accident occurred on Head Tide Road in Whitefield involving Catherine M. Stratton, 67, of Waterville. Stratton was operating her 2009 Subaru Outback northbound when she approached a curve too fast and was unable to slow down in time. Her vehicle then hit a patch of sand on the roadway, causing her to lose control of her vehicle and as a result, the vehicle went off the road on the right side and collided with a tree. Deputy Poirier was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 4, an accident occurred on Waldoboro Road in Jefferson involving Maurice D. Tardiff, 53, of Augusta. Tardiff was following the roadway in his 2006 Chevrolet Impala when he stated a family of animals jumped into the roadway and, as he attempted to avoid them, he lost control of his vehicle, causing it to leave the roadway and become stuck in a ditch. Reserve Deputy Genthner was the investigating officer.
On Oct. 4, an accident occurred on Lower Round Pond Road in Bristol involving Collin J. Marshall, 18, of Bristol, Conn. Marshall was operating his 2005 Pontiac Bonneville eastbound when he lost control of his vehicle due to speed and a bald tire on the front passenger side. As a result, his vehicle left the roadway and collided with the guardrail. His vehicle then traveled under the guardrail, peeling up 10 to 14 feet of the guardrail. Sgt. Brendan Kane was the investigating officer.
