Boothbay Town Manager James Chaousis II and Midcoast Economic Development District Executive Director Jeffrey Kobrock are the finalists for the Rockland city manager post, according to the Bangor Daily News.
Chaousis has been Boothbay’s town manager since November 2010, according to the newspaper. Boothbay’s town manager also serves as the town’s economic development director, road commissioner, tax collector, and treasurer.
Chaousis is a Maine native and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Gulf War. He was the town manager of Livermore Falls before coming to Boothbay.
Kobrock has been the executive director of the Damariscotta-based Midcoast Economic Development District since August 2011, according to the newspaper.
Kobrock was a longtime employee of the city of Gardiner as economic development director from 1995-2000 and city manager from 2000-2009.
Chaousis and Kobrock were among more than 100 applicants for the job.
