A 27-year-old man faces a felony OUI charge after a fatal SUV-bicycle accident on Feylers Corner Road in Waldoboro the night of Saturday, Nov. 22.
Jeffery Moran, 27, was driving a 1999 GMC Yukon on Feylers Corner Road. Jessie Hayden, 31, was riding a bicycle on the road. The Moran vehicle struck Hayden’s bicycle. Hayden was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The Waldoboro Police Department arrived “and found that (Moran) had struck the male subject … with his vehicle.”
Moran was arrested for a class B charge of criminal OUI, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine. He was transported to Two Bridges Regional Jail. His bail was set at $10,000, according to the jail website.
The case remains under investigation.
The Maine State Police, Waldoboro Ambulance Service, and Waldoboro Fire Department also responded to the scene.
