Whitefield Fire and Rescue responded to a 2:10 p.m. report of a man struck by lightning through a pair of headphones, according to Chief Scott Higgins.
A husband and wife at 230 Rockland Rd., were in a cellar office during a thunderstorm, where the husband was wearing headphones while working on a PC, Higgins said.
While EMS attended to the injured man, fire department personnel checked the residence and found no fire, Higgins said.
