A Manchester man is facing a felony charge of drug trafficking following his arrest in Jefferson this morning.
According to a statement from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, David Turner, 41, was charged with Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs, Methadone, a class “B” felony, following his arrest around 10:30 a.m.
Police recovered 87 methadone tablets from Turner’s person. The tablets have an estimated street value of $1300 -$1700, according to the LCSO.
Turner’s arrest stems from an investigation into drug trafficking along the Rt. 17 corridor by members of the Lincoln County Drug Task Force, which includes agents from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
Turner was charged with Unlawful Trafficking in Methadone He was booked at the Two Bridges Regional Jail and later released on bail pending a future court appearance.
