Amy Cecilia Kirkwood and Erickson John (E.J.) Maynard were married Sept. 14, 2013 at the Linekin Bay Resort in Boothbay Harbor.
The bride is the daughter of Mary Kirkwood of Elkton, Md., and the late William Kirkwood. The groom is the son of Kurt and Patricia Maynard, of Skowhegan, formerly of Nobleboro.
The beautiful outside ceremony was performed by Sally Bullard, of Boothbay Harbor, and a scripture message was read by the groom’s father.
Erica Woods, college friend of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were sisters of the bride, Katie Cooke, of Elkton, Md., and Becca Kirkwood, of Wilmington, Del., and college friends Colleen Maynard, of Oella, Md., Emily Kordish, of Towson, Md, Bea Roderick, of Chapel Hill, N.C., Ashley Richards, of Savage, Md., and friend Kimberly Russo (now Maynard) of Holyoke, Mass.
Benjamin Maynard of Holyoke, Mass., brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were high school friend Owen Libby, of East Dixfield, college friends Graham Byra, of Princeton. N.J., Jeremy Petre, of Media, Penn., Brenton Stransky, of Philadelphia, Penn., bandmates Tim Yungwirth, of Oella, Md., and Patrick Bagnell, of Mount Airy, Md., and long-time friend Brian Brockmeyer of Bel Air, Md.
A lobster bake rehearsal dinner and a formal reception dinner were also held at Linekin Bay Resort. Many guests were able to stay and enjoy the area for several days.
Mrs. Maynard is a 2001 graduate from North East High School, Md., and a 2005 graduate from Salisbury State University, Salisbury, Md. with a B.S. degree in business management. She is a clinical customer services coordinator at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md.
Mr. Maynard is a 1999 graduate from Lincoln Academy in Newcastle, and a 2003 graduate from Susquehanna University in Selinsgove, Pa., with a B.S. degree in business management. He is a project manager at PayPal in Hunt Valley, Md.
The couple resides in Baltimore and is planning a 2014 fall honeymoon to Spain and France.
