Sunny skies and cheering crowds greeted veterans, bands, Boy and Girl Scouts and friendly firefighters at the 2010 Twin Villages Memorial Day parade.
Before the crowds fired up their barbeque grills for their families, they paused to remember the sacrifice of servicemen and women who were slain protecting the American way of life.
It was one of the last times the crowds will be able to cheer the members of the nation’s Greatest Generation – the men and women who participated in World War II – like 91-year-old Albert Reed who slogged through Europe as an American G.I. and helped crush Hitler’s Nazi army.
