Mid-Coast Energy Systems is pleased to announce the hiring of David Keenan as an estimator for its heating/cooling division.
Keenan has extensive experience and expertise in the HVAC field, including 14 years as an estimator for residential heating and cooling contractors in Northern California, whole-house energy retrofit upgrades requiring HVAC, building envelope sealing, duct sealing, insulation, windows, high efficiency domestic hot water, indoor air quality, mini-split ductless heat pump systems, and energy recovery units.
Keenan’s impressive general credentials also include studies in advanced emergency medicine w/ EMT certification and humanities at Napa Valley College, and courses elsewhere in marketing, sales, management, and inventory control.
Over the years in his spare time, Keenan has pursued a life-long passion for sailing, during which he earned certifications in piloting and offshore navigation. Since the late 1960s, he has extensively sailed the San Francisco and San Pablo Bays and California West Coast, with two successful crossings from California to Hawaii.
He is currently working toward a degree in traditional yacht design in preparation of opening a part time yacht design business when he “retires.” Of his recent move to Maine, Keenan notes that when he is not performing estimates for MCES, he is “looking forward to sailing endless gunk-holing possibilities in small yachts and looking to further offshore sailing whenever the opportunity arises.”
David and his wife Mary will soon settle into a recently purchased property in Whitefield.
