Midcoast Energy is proud to announce a new employee technical training facility at its Rt. 1, Damariscotta campus, with completion is set for early this year.
The curricula will cover a broad range of subject matter from basic to complex. Technicians will receive regular contemporary code updates and relevant cross-training, which will ultimately improve job performance and client service.
Company founder Bob Hardina said, “The fields of endeavor have increased so dramatically in the past several years. This is a company committed to responding quickly to changes within the industry and in turn to the needs of the customer.”
Midcoast Energy Systems was purchased in 2001 by employees William Morgner, Ron Russell, and David Gamage. Bob Hardina continues his involvement with the company.
In addition to the in-house training programs, the new building will also provide space for presentations on new equipment and demonstrations from factory installers, along with providing an opportunity to host events such as the contractor/architect breakfast planned for late February soon after completion of the new facility is expected.
