Mobius’ 2009 Special Olympics team traveled to Sugarloaf on Jan. 25 for a weekend of fun in the cold at the Winter Games.
The team competed in 16 different events in downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. The team brought home nine medals.
“It was a very cold three days, but the events went smoothly and on time, so no one ever got real cold. The chaperones and athletes alike all agreed it was the best competition ever,” coach Fondy York said.
