A rollover near the intersection of Rt. 27 and McKay Road in Edgecomb interrupted traffic for about 30 minutes early Thursday afternoon, June 17.
According to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy Peter Kenyon, Elizabeth Jarvis, 29, of Woolwich was “probably going a little too fast” for wet conditions when she flipped her 2000 Toyota 4-Runner.
Jarvis and her daughter, Christiana Jarvis, 1, both unhurt, were transported to Miles Memorial Hospital as a precaution.
“That’s why it’s a great idea to have children in car seats,” Kenyon said. The operator was wearing her seatbelt, he said.
Upon examination at the scene, Jarvis’s truck appeared to have “sustained unrepairable damages,” Kenyon said.
