A 38-year-old Chelsea man sustained head injuries as a result of a motorcycle accident in Whitefield May 20.
According to a report from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Michael White was injured when he was thrown from the 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle he was operating around 5:15 p.m. Sunday afternoon. White was not wearing a helmet, police say.
According to the LCSO, the accident occurred when White attempted to pass an eastbound 2004 Suburu operated by Helen Waldron, 65, of Whitefield. Waldron had slowed and was attempting to turn into her driveway. White, also eastbound, skidded and struck a curb and was thrown from his motorcycle.
White was transported by LifeFlight helicopter to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston where he currently remains hospitalized.
