A collision between a motorcycle and an automobile on Route 1 and Birch Point Road in Wiscasset sent two men to the hospital August 16, according to police.
The motorcyclist crossed into the opposing lane of traffic and hit the vehicle, according to police.
The motorcyclist, a visitor from New Jersey who suffered critical injuries in the accident, was transported by helicopter to Central Maine Medical Center and was later transferred to Maine Medical Center, according to reports. His present condition is unknown.
The driver of the vehicle, a Damariscotta resident, was transported to Miles Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to reports.
Police have not yet released the identity of either man.
