A Waldoboro motorcyclist was transported to the hospital with a possible leg injury after a collision with a hatchback on Center Street in Nobleboro the morning of Thursday, Aug. 31.
Dakota Mank, 30, of Waldoboro, was operating a motorcycle south on Center Street, according to Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy 1st Class Brian Collamore. Craig Grover, 65, of South Bristol, was driving a Pontiac hatchback north and attempting to make a left turn into Henny’s Automotive at the time of the accident.
Collamore said it appears the motorcycle’s headlight was not working at the time of the accident.
Mank was wearing a helmet, according to Collamore. Neither vehicle was carrying any passengers. Grover was not hurt.
Mank was taken to LincolnHealth’s Miles Campus in Damariscotta, where he was treated and released, according to LincolnHealth spokesman Scott Shott.
Lincoln County Communications dispatched emergency services shortly before 7:30 a.m. The Central Lincoln County Ambulance Service, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, and Nobleboro Fire Department responded.
