Parents, school officials and representatives of the Ronald McDonald House joined Nobleboro Central School students at a ribbon cutting ceremony for the school’s new playground equipment Sept 30.
The new equipment – four basketball hoops, a maypole and a large jungle gym – was built by local volunteers and paid for with $10,000 raised by the Nobleboro PTO and $25,000 donated by the Ronald McDonald House Charities. The Maine and national chapters of the organization each donated $12,500.
“This a good day for Nobleboro Central School,” said NCS Principal Ann Hassett after the ceremony. “This has been a real team effort.”
