Newcastle Town Clerk Lynn Maloney, who also serves as the registrar of voters, tax collector and deputy treasurer, has added another job: interim town administrator.
Maloney will serve in the position for up to a year while the Newcastle Board of Selectmen determines “the best path for the town,” Chairman Brian Foote said May 31. The decision “makes the most sense for the town,” he said.
Maloney, a Newcastle resident, has been Newcastle’s town clerk for about 21 years.
