Newcastle will list a 1980 fire truck for sale on the government surplus auctions website GovDeals after a public sale process elicited just two bids.
The Newcastle Board of Selectmen decided to table bids of $1236 and $1003, sign up for a GovDeals account and post the truck on the website for 15-30 days.
In other business, the selectmen authorized the Newcastle Cemetery Trustees to spend up to $500 from a cemetery trust fund to remove three trees from Glidden Street Cemetery.
