Newcastle town voters will go to the polls on June 8 to elect one member of the Board of Selectman, a member of the town’s school committee and trustee of the community school district and a member of the board of the Great Salt Bay Sanitary District.
Brian S. Foote and Thomas A. Stevens are seeking the Select Board seat vacated by the retirement of Bob Plourde.
Carole A. Brinkler is seeking to be re-elected to the school committee and Christopher (Kit) Hayden is seeking re-election to the board of the sanitary district. These candidates are unopposed.
The voting will be held from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 8 in the town fire station on River Road.
The annual town meeting is scheduled for a week later, June 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the Lincoln Academy gym.
