A 49-year-old Nobleboro man is facing drug charges following a raid on his home on Upper East Pond Road early this morning.
According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, members of the Lincoln County Drug Task Force and the Maine State Police Tactical Team executed a search warrant at the home of Lisa Wallace and Randall Simmons around 4:30 a.m.
Officers did not make a forced entry into the home, but rather contained the residence until the occupants exited the home to meet the officers. The warrant was executed without incident.
According to the LCSO, the decision to request the assistance of the State Police Tactical Team was based upon several factors including Simmons’ violent criminal history, suspected drug activity, and the suspected presence of firearms.
During the search of the premises, officers seized approximately two ounces of processed marijuana along with several items of drug paraphernalia.
Simmons was charged with Furnishing Scheduled Drugs, Class C, and released pending an appearance in court.
