The Lincoln County News has adjusted its shipping process in an effort to expedite delivery to out-of-state subscribers.
Previously, News employees put newspapers into plastic sacks for delivery to the Damariscotta Post Office. Now, following the recommendation of Max Heath, Postal Chair of the National Newspaper Association, the News will use flats trays or tubs instead of sacks.
The change follows reports from out-of-state subscribers of editions arriving late, out of sequence or not at all (see “Post Office Delays Leave Seasonal Residents News-less,” Page 1, 12/30/10).
The Lincoln County News encourages subscribers to report any change in delivery speed in the weeks and months ahead at (207) 563-3171 or lcn@lincoln.midcoast.com.
