The Maine State Warden Service has identified the victim of an ATV accident in Dresden Aug. 18 as 42-year old Michael Murphy, of Mashpee, Mass.
Murphy was critically injured after riding a four-wheel all terrain vehicle on Hunter Road, a private road off Rt. 197, and crashing into a tree around 7 p.m. Murphy was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, according to the Maine Warden’s Service.
He was flown by LifeFlight to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, where he remains in critical condition, according to the release.
The incident is currently under investigation. Maine Game Warden Doug Kulis responded to the scene. Game Wardens Josh Smith and Sgt. Hughes responded to the hospital.
