Both operators escaped injury in a two-car collision on School Street July 5, according to Damariscotta Deputy Police Chief Chad Andrews.
Jordan Plummer, 17, had slowed the Saab she was operating to turn left into Studio 18 on School Street when her vehicle was struck from behind by a Ford pickup operated by Andrea Hallowell, 42, of Pemaquid, around 9 a.m., Andrews said.
Speed and driver inattention were factors in the rear-end collision, Andrews said.
Traffic was reduced to one lane as the drivers and passengers were checked out by emergency medical personnel and the vehicles were removed.
No one was injured in the accident, Andrews said.
Plummer’s residency was not available at the time of this posting.
