The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Fri., April 1 in regard to a late season nor’easter expected to chug up the coast with rainfall and the possibility snow.
Coastal areas of Lincoln County should see mostly rainfall while inland areas may see up to 6 inches of snow, according to the NWS. The weather is forecast to move in during the early morning hours and continue through the day on Friday.
The timing of the precipitation and early morning low temps may combine to make for a messy morning commute on Friday.
The Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 2 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday. The Lincoln County News will continue to follow the progress of this event and post any additional information here as soon as it becomes available.
